Born and bred in Dublin, Joanne grew up in Clondalkin and now lives in Lucan with her husband, her two daughters, and their beloved dog. In her paintings, Jo loves to capture memories specific to individuals. Jo’s paintings are primarily landscapes, cityscapes, and seascapes using oils and acrylics.
Inspired by nostalgic feelings Jo’s skyline series tries to capture the essence of Dublin villages in a skyline format. Each village skyline is a mix of a selection of past and present buildings unique to each village location. Jo is delighted at how her Skyline series has been received, especially when some of the obsolete buildings trigger fond memories and stories of times since past.
When not exhibiting or participating in local markets, Jo is busy in her studio, adding to her Skyline series and working on commissions.
